Community Programs

The VAFA Umpires Association has a long and proud history of making a positive contribution to the lives of people in the community.

The VAFAUA has always provided its members with every opportunity to develop as umpires and as people in a positive and supportive sporting environment through various development and social programs.

And VAFAUA members have then taken their leadership skills and expertise onto the football field to ensure amateur football is played in a safe and fair manner.  In doing so, VAFAUA members provide young people throughout 23 municipalities around Melbourne with the opportunity to develop life skills such as team work, discipline and camaraderie in a positive and supportive sporting environment.

This desire to make a positive contribution within the community has also seen VAFAUA members reach outside the VAFA to support a number of worthy community programs that increase the confidence of participants, support social connections and produce health improvements.

Making a positive contribution to the lives of people in the community is something the VAFA Umpires Association has always valued and strived to achieve.  This is what we have always done and will continue to do.
