Umpire of the Year
This Award is presented to an umpire who consistently shows a high level of umpiring ability, has a feel for the game, has good rapport with the clubs and shows a commitment to the umpiring group.

Golden Whistle Award
This award is provided by the AFL and is presented as an encouragement award to an umpire who is identified as having the potential to umpire at the highest level.
The winner of the Golden Whistle Award for 2011 is Andrew Heffernan.
Most Promising Umpire
This award is presented to a young umpire in the early stages of their development who has shown the commitment to umpiring and willingness to learn that is required to progress to a higher level.
The winner of the Most Promising Umpire for 2011 is Jayde Daly.
Most Improved Field Umpire Award
Most improved field umpire award is presented to an umpire who has shown significant improvement in their understanding of the game and their skill and fitness levels throughout the season.
The Most Improved Field Umpire for 2011 is Andrew Green.
Most Improved Boundary Umpire Award
Most improved boundary umpire award is presented to an umpire who has shown significant improvement in their understanding of the game and their skill and fitness levels throughout the season.
The Most Improved Boundary Umpire for 2011 is Robert Hamilton.
Most Improved Goal Umpire Award
Most improved goal umpire award is presented to an umpire who has shown significant improvement in their understanding of the game and their skill and fitness levels throughout the season.
The Most Improved Goal Umpire for 2011 is Matt Dervan.
Young Achiever Award
This Award is presented to an umpire under the age of 20 who regularly attends training and meetings, shows improvement throughout the year and mixes well with the umpiring group.
The Young Achiever Award winner for 2011 is Kit Harvey.
Best First Year Umpire
This Award is presented to a first year umpire who has natural umpiring ability, a desire to learn and a commitment to the umpiring group.
The Best First Year Umpire for 2011 is Josh Prince.
Andy Carrick Award
This award is named in honour of Mr Andy Carrick who lost his battle with cancer in 2001. Andy was a likeable larrikin who umpired many games in the VAFA. Although Andy did not umpire in the higher sections, he was still a valuable contributor to the VAFA Umpires Association.
The award is presented to a member of the VAFA Umpires Association who does not reach the higher sections but still performs admirably each week throughout the season.
The winner of the Andy Carrick Award for 2011 is Anthony Simpson.
Bob Dunstan Award
This award is named in honour of Mr Robert Dunstan OAM who is a Life Member of the VAFA Umpires Association and has umpired over 800 games in the VAFA.
The award is presented to a member of the VAFA Umpires Association who provides exceptional service to the Association.
The winner of the Bob Dunstan Award for 2011 is Sean Scully Snr.
Ten Year Service Awards
This award is presented to umpires who achieve ten years of service to the VAFA Umpires Association.
In 2011, this milestone was achieved by Luke Holmes, Rob Parry and Grant Wardrop.
