The VAFAUA is the association for umpires within the Victorian Amateur Football Association competition. Based in our rooms at Elsternwick Park, we work to create a safe and fun environment for all members, to progress the interests of umpires in general, and to promote umpiring as a key part of the football landscape.
The Umpires Association also promotes good citizenship, with umpires from diverse backgrounds and covering all ages. We particularly welcome our increase in female members, with representation right throughout the grades and umpiring disciplines. We seek to give back to the community, with umpires volunteering their time to officiate FIDA and National Inclusion Carnival matches, and participating in an annual blood drive. The VAFAUA is a GoodSports club, and is a signatory to the Responsible Gambling Foundation 'Love the game' charter.
With strong support from the VAFA community, a great team of coaches and a culture dedicated to helping every individual to become the best they can be, the VAFAUA truly is 'The Place to Umpire'.
Congratulations Anthony and Kirsten Edmonds
The VAFAUA is very pleased to announce the birth of twins Eloise Grace and Thomas Francis on Friday morning.
Anthony reports that Kirsten and the twins are well, and that Eloise is beautiful like her mother, and that Thomas is bald like his father.
